Terms and Conditions
1. Non-Refundable Deposit / Cancellation Policy
A non-refundable deposit of £80 is required for all bookings. This deposit:

Secures your appointment

Covers the purchase of a custom glass unit specific to your vehicle, which cannot be cancelled or returned once ordered

Acts as a cancellation fee if you choose to cancel or fail to attend your scheduled appointment

If you are not present at the time of your appointment or if the service cannot be completed through no fault of our company, the deposit will be retained to cover time, travel, and material costs.

By making payment, you acknowledge and accept that the £80 deposit is non-refundable under any circumstances.

2. Call-Out Fee
Where applicable, a call-out fee of £80 will be charged if we attend your location and the job cannot be completed due to factors beyond our control (e.g. no access to the vehicle, incorrect vehicle details, unsafe conditions).

3. Custom Glass Orders
Once your deposit is paid, we immediately order your custom-cut or vehicle-specific glass. As these items are bespoke and non-returnable, no refunds or exchanges are offered once the order is placed.

This applies regardless of whether the service is ultimately carried out, unless the cancellation is caused by Chips Ahoy Windscreens.

4. Appointment Availability
We offer both mobile and static fitting appointments. While we aim to meet all scheduled dates and times, external factors (such as weather, traffic, or emergency jobs) may cause delays or rescheduling.

If your mobile appointment is disrupted, we will offer an alternative date or the option to bring your vehicle to our static workshop.

5. Stone Chip Repairs – Risk Notice
Stone chip repairs are carried out on already damaged glass. While rare, there is a risk of further cracking during the repair. Should this occur, the cost of the repair still applies, and a new windscreen may be required at additional cost.

6. Payment Terms
All outstanding balances are payable upon completion of the job, unless paid in advance. Non-payment will result in legal recovery action, including interest (8% per annum) and associated costs.

7. Economy Glass Notice
Economy glass may contain minor visual imperfections (e.g. scratches, blemishes), which are not classed as defects. These do not affect the safety or functionality of the glass. If you prefer a flawless finish, we recommend upgrading to our Premium Glass.
